Astronaut tool bag orbits the earth

Posted by GIS talk On Monday, December 01, 2008

I got this from gisuser blog. Astronaut Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper lost her bag on a spacewalk. The bag is full of tools NASA estimated to be worth $100,000. The question now is: where is the tool bag? Well, it is right up there, orbiting the earth.

Wanna know where exactly it is now in space? Here is a real-time satellite tracking and watch how the bag follows its orbit.

Follow the tool bag here.
